For your consideration….

Whether we are there or not, at some point we have all felt overwhelmed. Our message tells us that sometimes we feel overwhelmed because we have “too many doors open.

Sometimes we just have “too much on our plate.” We have too many “open doors.” We  have too many “tabs open in our brain.” When this happens, we can feel overwhelmed.

Our message today is to just start closing some of those doors, closing the tabs and getting them off of our plate. How? First, take an inventory. Are they our tasks? Are they things we should be doing. If not, let them go. Next start with the smallest. Complete it and let it go. Finally, look at what is left and chunk tasks out. Do a “bit” of it until gradually we get it done.

Remember, to let go of judgment. Recognize and focus on what we complete versus how much there is left to do. Gradually, we will work our way to closing some of those doors and our overwhelmed feeling will fade away.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at 10 deep breaths.

-Just get it done.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-I love this time of year. The weather is absolutely perfect.

-So yesterday, we set up a center that students could play with shaving cream. We just put it on a plastic table and let them play, draw and write in it. One of our little Japanese boys looked up with total “unbelief” on his face. He was trying to verify that we were serious and he did not understand. When he saw his friends go ahead, his smile lit up the world.

-I absolutely love, love, love that the elementary school I am teaching has implemented a “mindfulness” program school wide. It is wonderful.

-Catching up with Cathy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
