For your consideration….

I know why this message came in so clear to me. I am headed to the Olympics in August. I’m so excited. Clearly every athlete competing will have experienced many defeats in their journey to the competing for their country in the Olympics. We will hear so many of those stories during the competition. Athletes of all ages learn valuable life skills in competing much of it in suffering defeats.

Whether we are an athlete or not, we all learn from failure, defeats, losses. Our wise authentic self recognizes Zig Zigler’s quote as true, “If you learn from defeat, you haven’t really lost.” Indeed you’ve gained valuable knowledge, skills and emotions.

Most people aren’t born with compassion, graciousness, inherent kindness, perseverance, being humble etc. Most of us learn those skills by observation and experiences on our life journey. Much of it we learn from our defeats, failures and losses.

If we really stop and give it thought, our authentic self recognizes that all is in God’s plan and Divine Timing. If we suffer defeat, failure or losses it is because it all fits into a bigger plan for us. We are getting something very valuable that we will later need. It is for our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember, it is all good.

What made me smile yesterday….

-I have issues from Facebook sometimes but I was glad when an old work friend reached out. Thanks, Dave.

-I finally found a new table that I think will be perfect at Stillwater.

-Yeah, we are going to get to meet James’ parents.

-Meeting new ladies at my Stillwater neighbor’s house.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
