For your consideration….
We alone are responsible for our thoughts, actions and deeds. We would like to….and many do….give away this responsibility. We would like to take the easy way out and let others define truth for us. And some may do that. But make no mistake, we are then responsible for their thoughts, actions and deeds.
You would think that in this day and age of media that personal responsibility would be easy. All kinds of knowledge is literally at our fingertips. Instead, it has added to the burden of personal responsibility. Anyone can lie and put it on Facebook or Twitter as fact. Anyone can put their own opinion on the same media and pass it on as fact. Even the news media is biased. Broadcasters slant reporting the news according to who owns their network. The fact is the truth is easily altered these days and it is much harder to ferret it out.
However, that does not mean that we do not have responsibility to do so. It is up to us to filter out the lies, half-truths, rhetoric etc. Indeed, it is our job to be true to our core values sitting in our authentic self.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Be strong and own your personal responsibility.
What made me smile yesterday….
-That “not so big a deal” paperwork….uh….was a really big deal. The school system changed staffing companies. Employee information did not transfer over. My friend, Karyn, said it was no big deal. The new company said it was no big deal. I guess that is right if you don’t consider at least 6 hours doing it a big deal. But it is now done. Yeah!
-Lots of other odds and ends sitting on my desk cleaned up.
-Leftovers.
-Finishing a good book.
