For your consideration….

Good Friday is a good day to talk about darkness. Not long ago my women’s circle did an exercise where we wrote down what darkness and light symbolized to us. It was interesting to see the difference each of us had.

Often we see and talk about the darkness as something depressing, negative or bad. We often have these feeling because we are afraid of the unknown. When we are afraid of the unknown, we can not fully make the moment we are in all that it can be.

We are asked to consider letting go of our fear by looking at the darkness differently. We are asked to consider the darkness as a vessel for what is not yet ready to step forward into the light. Our HOPEs, dreams, blessings, plans are simply being cradled in the darkness keeping them safe until they are ready to be brought forward.

My daughter’s boyfriend, James,  once said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Be excited.” Those are wonderful words for today’s message. Let go of worry and fear. It simply does not serve you well.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Remember, whatever needs to step forward into the light is good. We don’t have to worry about what does not.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breath.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Good things done. Being productive breeds the desire to be more productive.

-You’d think it was April with all of the showers but we’ll take it.

-We were unsure how to purchase and get a fully assembled BBQ grill to Alex and James. You just have to love Home Depot and the internet.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
