The Solution is in the Resolution
For your consideration…..
Oh, the big question, What is my life purpose? What am I meant to be doing?
It seems some people are born knowing. Actually we are all born knowing. Most of us just don’t remember. That knowing is buried, protected in our heart and soul. But you know, like you know, like you know that it is there.
How do we start to remember? I am prompted that the solution is in our resolution. What resonates in your heart and soul? Those would be all the things we love and are passionate about. And all of the things we love to hate. You know, those things that push our buttons?
Grab a piece of paper and pencil. Draw that big “T” on it. Label one side love. Label the other hate. Write those words (all words, people, places, things, feelings, actions etc.) that jump into your head on the appropriate side. Don’t rethink any word. If it jumped into your head and heart, write it down. When there is a lull in the action, stop. Erase the “T” and erase the judgement. Every word on this page represents you and your resolution and passion and is a clue to your life purpose.
I think I have mentioned before that during my search I followed a suggestion to look at all of your artwork. It holds clues on what you are drawn to. If you go around and look at what you have collected, you will find a theme (actions, colors, people, places etc). When I did that, I found it was women and children. Later on I noticed that what ever volunteer organization I worked with, their focus seemed to be on women and children. That was another clue. The HOPE part was a little tougher. I have to admit I was given that part during a self-imposed month-long get away in Roatan, Honduras. I resolved to meditate, read and journal regularly each day. During a morning meditation and journaling exercise, the HOPE was given to me. My life purpose came to me in bits and pieces over many years.
It is my HOPE that this blog helps shorten your quest for your life purpose. I HOPE you find bits and pieces that resonate with you. Those are your clues. And I am prompted to remind you once again, you are never alone. You have help available 24/7. Just be still and ask. Your God and your Angels are chomping at the bit to help with all things big and small.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate for as long as you can.
-Drink lots of water. Not only does your body need it, your soul does as well. Water nourishes you while you mourn losses. At the same time it awakens you to the promise of the future. It gives you clarity to see what you can birth into your life.
-Laugh, love and play.
-Do that “T” chart. Do it with fun and joy in your heart. Do it with a friend if you want. Celebrate what you see.
What made me smile yesterday….
-My Peanut. Oh the fun of outdoor swim meets! And wow, Peanut got an awesome “flip turn”.
-My AJ. I say, “AJ will you put these bags in your Mom’s car. This one is for you. The other has things for your Mom and Peanut. Now I am not sure if I have equal amounts of books for you and Peanut. I just picked up what they had that I thought each of you would like.” “That’s ok Mimi, it doesn’t matter” he says. How can I not smile?
-Shannon and Will, wedding tux problems. I know it was supposed to be drama. But I giggled.
-My Godchild, Kerri and Jeff. Once again, they opened their home. We had fun just relaxing.
-Nephew Jeff. Already graduated and off to “Ole’ Miss”.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
