Canadian Geese
For your consideration…..
This picture is just a thought starter on the whole scene I saw again last night. Several posts ago in the “What made me smile yesterday”, I mentioned that I was stopped in traffic. I eventually could see that all the cars were waiting for families of Canadian Geese to cross the road. Well it happened again last night at the same place except they were crossing in the opposite direction. By the time they were done, I was alone in my car hysterically laughing. Let me describe because the above picture I found on the internet does not do my story any semblance of justice.
In the first place the geese I keep encountering are about 6-8 families who make up this flock. Now the goslings are much bigger than they were a couple of weeks ago but the parents are still in charge. These parents have divided themselves up throughout the flock. So one Dad bravely steps out and stops traffic and the families get behind in. Now the first couple of families step right along. Then you can see some dawdling start. But when that gap occurs, you see those parents in the middle start honking and flapping their wings and the little ones start doing a double time to catch up. It is just a hoot. But I love the Dad at the end of the line best. He has made himself as big as he possibly can with wings spread as far as he can strutting in protection at the end of the line. What is not to love here?
I have mentioned many times we all have help 24/7 ever at our side. We just need to ask and notice. Here is an example. There are no coincidences. Divine timing has me stopped twice in as many weeks by these geese. That is a message. And in meditation this morning, this incident popped back up. That was the third nudging. So how do I figure it out? You can use the internet and look up Canadian Geese. I use a book called Animal-Speak. (You can find it in the reference section on this page). I look for what stands out. When I read it, what hits my gut?
Because there are 8 species of geese, they can represent infinity and a call for spiritual quest. Their migration represents the searching and returning with fulfilled promises. When geese fly they shift patterns to shift the wind drafts and help those behind them have an easier flight and they never obstruct another’s sight. Their “V” flight pattern points to new directions and possibilities. Geese mate for life and as in the story I told above, both parents are a team in raising their families. As noisy as the parents are the children are mostly silent until they are ready to break free.
There is much more information on Canadian Geese. But you get the idea. For me this message is clearly about the spiritual quest and helping of others. It is an affirmation that I am on the right path. But there is a message for you as well, lest I would not have been nudged to make it the post. What is it? I HOPE you either know what that is or are able to search more and figure it out.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take….
-Consider the Canadian Geese. Why did they show up today for you?
-Meditate for as long as you can.
-Play
-Get in some deep breaths and drink lots of water.
What made me smile yesterday….
-First and foremost it has to be my friend, Jackie. How lucky am I to have such a friend who takes me as I am? I love her.
-Alex, joyous, Alex
-Those Canadian geese
-Daughter Shannon, has there ever been one more intuitive and so unaware of it?
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
