For your consideration…..

Wow talk about opposites….curses or blessings!

Today’s message talks about how we live our life. For the most part we have to have some kind of plan that gets us from day to day. Whether we love a plan or like to fly by the seat of our pants, we have to have thoughts on how we are going to get from today to tomorrow and all that those days must or can include. Even the people who hate the boundaries of a plan must figure out how they are going to get to work or school and work other things around that. I personally like a plan. I am a planner.

The “plan” is where our message takes us today. Specifically, when life gets in the way of our plan. It happens to all of us all of the time. How do we see these roadblocks? How do we handle these intrusions? Are they a curse or a blessing?

Here is the deal. We get to decide. When our plan gets waylaid, are we angry and/or upset? Do we throw up our hands and give up? Or do we review, revamp and move forward? The answers to these questions tell us how we see these interruptions in our plan.

We all know we do not have all of the answers. We plan with what information we have. HOPEfully we all know that we are not alone. Our Guidance is with us 24/7 and it does have answers we do not. We are asked to consider that roadblocks or problems that are put in front of us are not curses at all. They are course corrections that we didn’t know we needed. They are blessings.

We may not know the why. We may understand later or never figure out. It doesn’t matter. There are no coincidences. For some reason an intercession was made for us. We are asked to consider it a blessing and that it is all good.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be grateful for the blessings that have high-jacked our plans.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A PJ day. I have to change our recorder and am trying to watch all of the shows I had recorded for summer viewing because they will be lost. There you go….an adjustment to my plan. It was fun.

-Leftovers.

-Each year, I burn a copy of the YEAR’s blogs on a CD. I am a perfect example. If I looked at writing a year of blog’s, I would be overwhelmed and frozen. However chunking it out to a block of time each morning, makes it totally doable.

-The moon has been so beautiful these last few days. I love laying in bed watching it watch me.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
