For your consideration…..

Today we are given a task. I did it and it is very very interesting and enlightening.

We are asked to close our eyes and picture before us the incomplete jig saw puzzle of our life. Notice how some sections are filled in. Notice the key pieces that anchored them. Notice what joined them. Perhaps we remember how hard it was to complete this section of the puzzle. Maybe we had to twist and turn the piece around or even wait for it to fit. Some of those pieces we recognized right away and knew exactly where they fit. Notice the pieces that are seemingly uninteresting yet without them we could not connect to the next piece of our puzzle.

Spend some time reflecting. Make no judgements. Just notice. Easy or hard, different parts essential to our life puzzle were put into place. Perhaps we knew how they would fit or perhaps not, but fit they did. Just notice.

When you feel “done,” notice the pieces on the side. All the pieces of our life are there just waiting for us to pick them….waiting for their time and place. We don’t have to worry. We have reflected on the process. We have seen our progress. We know we can do it.

Are you like me and wonder why this message today? I did and had to ask why.

I was reminded of two separate incidences yesterday. A minister at a funeral I was at talked about HOPE. He said as I have said, “It is hard to listen to the news and have HOPE.”

Later at dinner, the debate from last week came up. I admit. I have a personal problem with lying. I got it from my mother. While I would like to think I am more tolerant (as in I don’t go ballistic when lied to,) I still am very offended. I think honest and integrity matters. My sister-in-law became quite angry which is rare. In essence she said the lying could not be an issue or deciding factor because they all do it. I guess it is up to who’s lies are least offensive to you. She went on to say, “I’m concerned for the world we are leaving our children.” That we are in complete agreement with. Again it was back to losing HOPE.

After meditating each morning I draw an angel card(s) and then reflect on a personal reading. Today….no surprise….was this personal message, “Take back your power. You have it all…don’t let the darkness on the outside steal your HOPE and power. Rise above. Take the high road and take others with you. Let go of worry…..KNOW…it is all well and good.”

Our message today….the exercise…..we were given shows us our power. It shows us all that we have done and that we have unfinished work. But we know we can do it, as long as we don’t the outside steal our HOPE. If you don’t feel good watching the news, turn it off. If people in your life steal your power and/or HOPE, bless them and release them. A light-workers work is at a higher level. Rise above the fray and do good.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for the highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Reflect and reset. You are needed.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A beautiful funeral for my husband’s cousin. His children did an amazing job. The church, congregation and minister were welcoming.

-No snow.

-Catching up with Jackie on my ride to Stillwater.

-So sad about Michigan’s loss but had to laugh out loud when Alex needed to talk to her dad. Indeed, I am sure he made her laugh.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
