We Are Infectious
Artist…Janel Motichka Hernandez
For your consideration……
Many times before we have heard that everything carries energy. As energy beings ourselves, we carry and exude energy. We are infectious, so today we are asked these questions.
Do we want to expel good or bad energy?
Do we want to expel happy or sad energy?
Do we want to expel encouraging or discouraging energy?
Do we want to expel success or failure?
Do we want to expel love or hate?
I know exactly why I was given this message today. In the last two days I have clicked “unfollow” on the Facebook pages of two of my nieces. I love them and feel guilty doing that. I want to know how they are doing but the incessant whining and ranting about things and people they don’t like is depressing, sad, petty and unnecessary.
We all have times of frustration, disappointment, sadness etc. It is part of life. How we handle those frustrations is every bit as important as how we handle our joy. It is part of our growth. Should we share and ask for help and should we be there to help people through tough times? Should we lend a sympathetic ear and shoulder. Absolutely! But there is a difference between wanting and needing help and whining.
Perhaps you have heard the saying, “Misery loves company.” Are we speaking or writing just to vent? Or are we asking for help? If it is to vent, there are ways to do that without infecting other people. We can say it or write it in private. Bless it. Ask for healing and LET IT GO.
Once again, it is all about intention. Are we venting or asking for help? It makes all of the difference.
Our energy is infectious. If we have an infectious disease, we are asked to stay away from others. Today we are asked that if we have a negative nasty attitude, don’t shout it out or write it out to the world. It is toxic. Isn’t there enough of that in the world?
Everyone has a role and can help heal the world. We are asked to make that our intention.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Think before you speak or write. What is my intention? Is it for the highest good of myself and others?
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Kindergarteners….so much growth.
-End of the school year excitement. You can feel it.
-Dinner with Mary.
-An early bedtime.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
