“A joyful heart is a normal result of a heart burning with love.”   Mother Teresa

For your consideration…..

We are asked today to consider the difference between JOY and Overjoyed. When we think of Joy, it is natural for our minds to go to those times when we have been overjoyed. When we do that, we get a distorted vision of joy.

Overjoyed is most often about an event. It is a moment or moments. It is a fleeting and leaves us with a great memory.

Joy is a state of being. It requires work on our part but the rewards are that joy permeates our soul. It impacts every thing we think or do. It impacts those around us because it is contagious.

We are asked to stop and consider what brings joy to our lives. How do we sustain our joy? How do we keep our joy alive? Love and gratitude are key components. They are required. There is no joy without them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water…..less caffeine.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Nurture your joy.

What made me smile yesterday….

-An early trip to Stillwater….very early.

-Alex is officially on the same day as we are.

-An absolutely beautiful day.

-A good book.

-Lori and Rod made it home all safe and sound.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
