Spirit of the Law

For your consideration…….

We have all heard the statement, “The spirit of the law.” It implies that there is more to the law than what is written. There is a spirit behind it. Often that spirit is about intention.

Today’s message talks to us about spiritual laws. Spiritual laws are behind every law and every action we take. We are born with them inscribed on heart. We know right from wrong. We know good from bad. We know good intentions. We know when we put our heart and soul into our actions.

Often when we are unhappy or disappointed, it is because we have broken a spiritual law or acted without them. Perhaps we have not done anything illegal but we have not acted with the honor of our spiritual laws.

Today we are reminded (with love) that if we are not feeling complete, unhappy or disappointed, look to our heart and the spiritual laws written there.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Follow the spiritual laws of your heart.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A scrumptious breakfast at Zola’s with my neighbor Joan. It was a great last-minute plan.

-A trip to Home Depot.

-My husband the “back seat” driver. We took his truck to Home Depot. He asks me to drive. He has lots of advice the entire trip. Finally I say, “Look, anyone that only has 270000 miles on a 10-year old truck does not get to give driving advice.” It shut him up for a while. Then I hear him mutter when we are close to home, “This 10-mile round trip put about 200 miles of wear and tear on my truck.” LOL

-An email from Alex.

-My great neighbor left an Easter gift on my front porch….a ham. Joan is the greatest.
