Shamanic Journey
For your consideration……
My day was special yesterday. I didn’t plan it that way. It just happened and I’m called to share part of it with you.
I sometimes listen to Sunday Morning Grace at Angels Teach where I have taken many classes. Yesterday. Peter Roe lead us on a shamanic journey to compassion. We were invited to take one or more of our Guides with us. I took White Eagle. Of course, we all followed different paths to where we could ask about compassion. Mine took me across a field I have been at many times before, through a special place I sometimes go to in meditation, back into the field and through a forest that let me to the ocean. It was no surprise that I should end up at the ocean. Indeed if I was not near water, I would have been surprised. Water comforts me and gives me peace.
We were lead to ask questions about compassion and listen to the response. This is what I remember.
First of all, we must all have compassion for ourselves first. We can not truly and fully be compassionate if we do not show ourselves compassion first. Next, I was reminded that judgment must be suspended to fully embrace compassion.
We asked how we could be more compassionate in our “community.” My answer was to not listen to the “hyperbole.” I admit I had to look the word up at the end. It means “exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally”. We are to ignore all of that so that we can clearly see the truth and offer compassion wherever needed.
Finally, we were asked about having compassion for our enemies. How can we do that? My answer came back quickly. It was to lovingly hold up a mirror. Anchor ourselves in love and light and let the darkness reflect back on itself.
This was ironic because following Sunday Morning Grace I was to and did participate in a Lucia Renee call where we stayed in meditation for a very long time targeting light around the world. Lucia does this frequently but I have never participated before. It was as if the call was designed to sync with Sunday Morning Grace. I feel blessed and feel blessed to share it with you this morning.
We all have the capacity to show compassion. We just sometimes forget this or don’t remember how. Other things get in our way. We are one another’s keeper. Our love and joy depends on the love and joy of others. The more we give, the more we get back many times over. We are what the world seeks.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Yes, even if it is cold.
-Always have your compassion ready to give.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-My beautiful morning and early afternoon with my shamanic journey and meditation of light.
-I finished a book.
-It was stunningly beautiful outside. I loved looking at it all day.
-Cathy is on here way and I am packed and ready to meet her.
-A funny email from Alex that made Bruce and I both laugh
-An update from Shannon that the family is all back safe and sound from a fun weekend.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
