Gone Going
Song by The Black Eyed Peas, Jack Johnson
Johnny wanna be a big star
Get on stage and play the guitar
Make a little money, buy a fancy car
Big old house and an alligator
Just to match with them alligator shoes
He’s a rich man so he’s no longer singing the blues
He’s singing songs about material things
And platinum rings and watches that go bling
But, diamonds don’t bling in the dark
He a star now, but he ain’t singing from the heart
Sooner or later he’s just gonna fall apart
Cause his fans can’t relate to his new found art
He ain’t doing what he did from the start
And that’s putting in some feeling and thought
He decided to live his life shallow
Cash in his love for material
And its gone… gone… going…
Gone… everything gone… give a damn…
Gone be

For your consideration……

Many people live their whole life unraveling their life purpose. We are often told to follow our passion and it will lead you to our life purpose. Certainly that is true. It is also true that we are born with the gifts needed to pursue and successfully work our life purpose.

Today’s message is about honoring our passion and life purpose and not selling it out…..not settling. True passion comes straight from our authentic self. It is pure. Ego has no role. Indeed when we let ego….ours or others in……we dilute it.  And when we dilute our passion, we dilute our talent because we lose our joy.

If you are fortunate enough to know your passion, live it full on straight from the heart.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live your passion. Live your joy.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I showed up for the dentist 2 hours before my scheduled time. Whoops.

-Not to be deterred, I shopped and got everything I needed on my list. Including a new bundt pan that I love. Doesn’t seem like a joy but I am left wondering why I didn’t do it sooner.

-Went back to the dentist, got my hair cut, baked a cake and got my nails done all before 2:00. Wahoo.

-We went out to share in Peanuts birthday celebration. Alex called and we got to talk to her as well. Fun. Fun. Fun. We talked about the night 13 years ago. I remember so clearly going to the pool and standing at the end until Alex got to it during one of her laps. I called down to her as she was getting to flip turn. Her head came up and she said, “Is it time?” “Yup.” She hurriedly dressed and we rushed to the hospital to be there to welcome our Peanut into the world. So hard to believe it was 13 years ago.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
