The Long and Short of It.

For your consideration…..

Our message today is about service…..being of service….to others. So often I hear, “I’m looking for a charity where I can be of service.” Of course, you do not have to look very far for a charity but what they mean is that they are looking for one that is a good fit and one they can feel passionate about it. That is good.

Today’s message reminds us, though, that being of service is like everything else. There is no big and small. “The long and short of it is…..” that all acts of service are equal. Any act of kindness or service is weighted the same because there is no judgment.

So don’t beat yourself up because you have not yet found the charity that is the right fit. Don’t minimize all those times you are of service or offer random acts of kindness. The most important part is that they come from an unselfish and loving heart.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Seize the opportunity to be of service wherever you find it.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Ahhh the sun 3 days in a row. Knock on wood.

-I figured out the issue with the Stillwater refrigerator.

-Will brought over my “card rack.” I can’t wait to get organized again. I am very geeked.

-Catching up with Jackie and Cathy.

-I thought the voucher airline ticket deal was dead. But Cathy called me late last night and we are off to Fort. Myers for 4 days next month. Wahoo.
