For your consideration…..

We asked today to consider fear. F.E.A.R today stands for “failure to explore all roads.”

We are asked what we are afraid of? More than likely it is failure of some kind, perhaps even embarrassment. Yet we know that we learn and grow in everything we do. We gain something out of every experience.

Here again we have to trust. You see it is a lot easier to ignore the new road because we do not “know” what we are missing or being able to measure what the “regrets” will be.

We are reminded that failure to explore new roads is a symptom of lack of trust in ourselves and the Universe. You know the saying “not willing to put your money where your mouth is?” This is the same thing. We are solid in our trust and HOPE or we are not.

Fear is the life tourniquet that stops our life from flowing to its highest level. Fear is the “but” from the ego. We are asked to kick our fear to the curb. We are bigger than it. A little bit of failure along the way is a “so what.” The benefits of our explorations will diminish it to dust.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Kick fear to the curb.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A snow day.

-So happy that we chose to cancel going to visit Aunt Dorothy. In doing so we avoided the 140 car and truck pileup on I94.

-A little bit of sun to brighten the bitter weather.

-An easy trip to Stillwater.

-Alex was on desk duty so we were able to email back and forth. It makes it feel like she is not as far away as she is.

-I am so happy that in most of the schools I sub in the teachers are in the halls and monitoring the students when they come and leave school. Obviously that is not the case up here by the cottage. I was stopped behind a bus. Mind you it was 16° degrees with wind chill of –10°degrees. I saw students get off the bus without coats. Two got off with shorts on one of which had neither a coat or socks with his tennis shoes. Yikes. I do have to say they looked like they were feeling the cold and the one without socks was really trying….unsuccessfully….but trying to stay our of snow.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
