Friendship

For your consideration……

We often hear about the “disposable” society. We want new often at the expense of old. We throw out or get rid of what is not broken for what we perceive is better. We tear down buildings to replace them with new giving little or nor thought to the energy they have accumulated and harbor. So too, with the “immediate gratification” society.  Too often we want what we want and we want it now. We don’t want to invest our time and effort.

Today “Friendship”…..our friendships are held up before us. They are held up like trophies to remind us of the rewards of hard work, dedication, belief, trust, loyalty, love, patience, communication, support etc. True friends demonstrate all of these qualities and a million others. Someone once said, “Friendship is not one big thing but a million little.” Friendship is a reward for passionate work and investment in a fellow human being. Yes, it is a gift but it is a gift from the fruits of our labor.

That is what today’s message is really about. It is about being passionate in all areas of our life. It is about investing and working hard in our society. It is about not always taking the easy road but working down the best and most worthwhile road.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE actions steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Consider the road less traveled even if it is harder.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-My sister got her Christmas gift. I was getting worried.

-A phone call from Alex.

-She got to meet Tyler Farr and go to his concert aboard the USS Carl Vinson.

-Catching up with Jackie.
