For your consideration……

Oh my! Ok, let me just state the message first because it sounds so simple and lovely. Are you ready?

“The present is the present.”

We were given this moment. We were brought to this moment. Us….specifically us. It is a gift….present to us.

We are asked, “How do you feel about getting presents? What is your attitude?” Hopefully, we feel excited, honored, loved, special, joyful, HOPEful. Perhaps we feel anticipation with our imagination engaged and ready to roll. We have a protocol/plan in place on how to give and receive presents. Rarely do we shirk those plans. Rarely do we say we don’t want to be bothered. Rarely do we dread them presents.

Do you see where this is going? The present is like any other present and we should treat it as such.  It is precious, given to us with thought and love. What we do with it is our personal responsibility. Do we ignore its value and waste it? Or do we explore why it was given to us, and make it the most it can be? Perhaps we share some of it.

Our attitude makes all of the difference. It impacts how we receive the present and what we do with it. And who is responsible for our attitude? We are. Every present given to us is an opportunity. We are asked to turn off the news and look with bright and fresh eyes and hearts. Receive with excitement and belief of all that is possible.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step (present) for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be excited. What present awaits you?

What made me smile yesterday……

-A fun science project….a Dyson project. Dyson sent vacuum parts for an engineering lab. The project started yesterday and the students are sooooo excited.

-Just the grandkids and us this weekend. Wahoo.

-They loved the books that I bought them from the book fair.

-Watching game shows with AJ. We are hooked.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
