For your consideration…….
Remember the other day the “Imagine a Woman” poem. This is what she looks like. She is energized, joyous and confident in her power. She is not threatening or menacing. She doesn’t need to be. She owns it. She wears it. It is in all of her being.
This is all of us. But we have been conditioned over the last several thousand years that this is not who are or should be. Powerful women are somehow threatening or unattractive. They need to be squashed, ridiculed or diminished. You need look no farther than the media and how they treat women political candidates no matter the party no matter the country.
But this is what real power looks like and it is what will save this world. So it is important that we take a moment. Look inside and remember. Remember that it is there, remember you own it and remember you never give it away.
I was reminded today of my friend Jackie’s parents, Frank and Loretta. After Frank died, a note to Loretta was found regarding money. It said, “Remember, Loretta, have fun with the interest but never touch the principal”. So it is with your power. Again, use the energy your power generates for the highest good but never give away any of the source.
Stand up, dear Sisters, be good to yourself and each other. Each one of you is important. Use your power to light all that is dark. That is my HOPE.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, bit by bit action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate for as long as you can try to focus on your power.
-Take a walk by yourself. Focus on you.
-Remember to be joyous of who you are.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Bruce is really clueless with computers. Yesterday he asked what I do in here every morning. I said I write this blog and I showed him. I also told him I know I have to write a book. (Many of you know that long story and what a procrastinator I am.) Typical Bruce, no questions. He simply said, ” Cool, Honey, you are going to be the next J. K. Rowling.” Not. But you have to love the encouragement and smile.
-Coming home from errands we had to wait twice for families of Canadian Geese to cross the road. What made me laugh was the last family. The kids were dawdling but when that mom spoke to them they started doing double time. A mom is a mom is a mom no matter the species. Personal power at its best.
