For your consideration…..

This is a poem I keep on one of my vision boards above my desk.

Imagine a Woman

by

Patricia Lynn Reilly

Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman.

A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.

Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.

Imagine a woman who trusts and respects herself.

A woman who listens to her needs and desires.

Who meets them with tenderness and grace.

Imagine a woman who acknowledges the past’s influence on the present.

A woman who has walked through her past.

Who has healed into the present.

Imagine a woman who authors her own life.

A woman who exerts, initiates, and moves on her own behalf.

Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and wisest voice.

Imagine a woman who names her own gods.

A woman who imagines the divine in her image and likeness.

Who designs a personal spirituality to inform her daily life.

Imagine a woman in love with her own body.

A woman who believes her body is enough, just as it is.

Who celebrates her body’s rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.

Imagine a woman who honors the body of the Goddess

in her changing body. A woman who celebrates the accumulation

of her years and her wisdom. Who refuses to use her life-energy

disguising the changes in her body and life.

Imagine a woman who values the women in her life.

A woman who sits in circles of women.

Who is reminded of the truth about herself when she forgets.

Imagine yourself as this woman.

As I said, for your consideration. It is my HOPE for us, dear Sisters.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can do…..

-Honor you for all that you are, for all that you bring to all of the lives you touch.

-Journal

-Drink lots of water and take at least 10 deep breaths outdoors.

-Look into the mirror and give yourself an “I love you”.

What made me smile yesterday….

It was the last day of school and the students were so excited. We played an Apple to Apple game and they were just a riot.

-A relaxing lunch with my friend, Carol.

-I am officially done with physical therapy.

-Check out the new References Page. Jordan got it up and running. He’s a star that makes me smile.

-My AJ ran to find me to say goodbye tonight. That never happens.  So my heart sang.

-Alex sounding joyous makes me so happy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris

  6. You might have actually created some exceptional points here. I specifically appreciate exactly how you’re competent to stick a whole lot thought right into a relatively short post (comparitively) which creates it an thoughtful publish with your subject. I think, you’ve presented the subject in the quite thorough yet concise manner, that is certainly genuinely useful when somebody would like to purchase the facts without spending too lots time searching online and sifting out your noise to uncover the answers to their questions. I get so frustrated with the plentiful while in the results within the major SE’s because they normally seem to mostly be filled with filler content very often isn’t extremely sensible. Should you not mind I’m going to add this post plus your webpage to my delicious favorites so I can share it with our kids. I appear forward to approaching to read your future posts as well.
