I Wonder As I Wander

I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die
For poor on’ry people like you and like I;
I wonder as I wander out under the sky

When Mary birthed Jesus ’twas in a cow’s stall
With wise men and farmers and shepherds and all
But high from God’s heaven, a star’s light did fall
And the promise of ages it then did recall.

If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing
A star in the sky or a bird on the wing
Or all of God’s Angels in heaven to sing
He surely could have it, ’cause he was the King

I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die
For poor on’ry people like you and like I;
I wonder as I wander out under the sky

For your consideration……

A Christmas carol in July? And why this one, since I always have wondered why it is a Christmas carol and not a a song better suited for Easter? None the less I love it and have learned that the message is what it is and is perfect for this day.

Today’s message is about the magnitude of it all. With his son, God declared his belief in us and his promise to always be with us. Jesus did the same. There could be no bigger sacrifice. It leaves no shadows of doubt.

JoAnna Oblander wrote, “When God makes a promise….he does not make you the exception.” We are reminded today of the magnitude of our own role.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask “What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Bless those who cross your path.

-Reaffirm you faith and belief in yourself.

What made me smile yesterday………

-Mackenzie says, “I could have slept longer but I got up because I know AJ (brother) gets lonely away by himself.

-An easy morning and afternoon.

-Relaxing at the pool.

-Mac had a great swim meet. It was an absolutely picture perfect day for an outdoor meet.

-Dinner and fun with Shannon, Mac and friends.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
