“Feeling Good”

Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse

Birds flyin’ high, you know how I feel
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel
Breeze driftin’ on by, you know how I feel
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me.
Yeah, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me, ooooooooh…
And I’m feelin’ good.

Fish in the sea, you know how I feel
River runnin’ free, you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree, you know how I feel
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me,
And I’m feelin’ good

Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean, don’t you know,
Butterflies all havin’ fun, you know what I mean.
Sleep in peace when day is done: that’s what I mean,
And this old world is a new world and a bold world for me…

Stars when you shine, you know how I feel
Scent of the pine, you know how I feel
Yeah, freedom is mine, and I know how I feel..
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me

And I’m feelin’… good.

For your consideration……

Each and every day we are greeted with song. Each new day we are serenaded at the break of dawn. Boy, we think we have it rough. There is no sleeping in for the birds.

We often do not notice this song but rain or shine it is there to greet us should we choose to listen. Note that it is never a sad song. It is always bright and full of HOPE.

Listen to the birds. They are not quite sure how their day is going to turn out either but they always celebrate the new day. As long as they have breath they sing it in with Joy and HOPE. They set the intention.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…ask “What would you have me do today for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-If for no other reason, be joyous. After all it is Friday.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Dude is all duded up for the summer. He is so proud of himself. He loves his haircut.

-A smooth ride to Stillwater.

-Sunshine, a good book and the deck.

-An early bedtime and late morning rise. Wahoo. Another day of feeling great.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
