For your consideration……

We seek and crave comfort and safety. And when we feel we have it, it is hard to let it go. We have a tendency to try to cocoon ourselves and make life stay just as it is. Of course, deep down we know that life is never static. It is ever-changing in its constant motion.

Today is Palm Sunday. It is the day Christians celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Jesus was having great success establishing his teachings. Staying put in the comfort of that success would have seemed wise and prudent. But Jesus knew he had to finish his life purpose. He had to leave safety and comfort and face his detractors and new challenges…even death.

We are asked today to consider Jesus. Do we think he was unafraid? He was made in our image. Of course, he was afraid. But he found the courage and faith to move forward towards his life purpose anyway. He walked the steps he knew he must.

We are reminded today to find our courage to let go of the comfortable and be brave enough to walk the steps of our life purpose. We are asked to pick up the challenges put before us, conquer them and keep marching forward.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray……let your authentic self instill confidence.

-Drink lots of water. It cleanses and helps with clarity.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Spend as much time outdoors as you can.

-Find a stone your are drawn to. Keep it with you. Touch it when you are worried. Hold it when you seek Guidance.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A great morning at Stillwater.

-Some writing done.

-Some cards made.

-Breakfast with my cousin, Karen. I love last-minute get togethers.

-Sitting in the sun reading.

-Talking to both my girls and Jackie.

Have a Happy and Blessed Palm Sunday

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
