For your consideration……
Condescending giving is from the ego. It is not pure. It has strings attached. It is giving that makes us feel better about ourselves. It assures us we are good. It reminds us of what WE have and what we have accomplished.
Condescending giving often does more harm than good because it steels HOPE. Whether it is from the government, private or personal sector does not matter. The rules are the same. When we give with any ulterior motive, we are giving from the ego. We are condescending and hurtful. We are thieves because we make people believe they are incapable of doing it themselves. We steel their HOPE making them believe they can’t do without us.
There is only one way to give. It is giving from an open loving heart expecting nothing in return… It leaves behind love. It reminds people of their own capabilities. It reminds them that they have power if they can but dig for it. It reminds them that others still believe in them. It leaves tools of help. It leaves behind HOPE.
Be a giver of HOPE.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……..
-Meditate/pray…..Know your heart and let it lead the way.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Give with a loving, HOPEful heart.
What made me smile yesterday……
-A beautiful warm sunny day. My sinus is clearing and my bones thawing.
-Fun in the sun.
-A great book. Nothing heavy…..purely for entertainment.
-Talking to Alex on Viber. Ahhhh the new technology just keeps on coming.
