For your consideration…….
Today’s message came in on the song “Let There Be Peace On Earth” but as I sat and listened, I knew that was not exactly the message that was being given to me. Certainly the song itself is a worthy message. However, our message today is especially focused on the “and let it begin with me part.” I admit I was a little confused and finally a light bulb went off and I asked, “Oh, you mean like the chicken or egg thing.” With some chuckles, I got confirmation.
For sure, peace should begin with me. I need not or should not expect that the proverbial hand be extended to me first. Today’s message takes this example and applies it to every thing in our life. We were given the tools in our life tool box to move ourselves forward on our life path towards our life purpose. We matter and we can make a difference.
Too often we wait for someone else to make the first move, or wait for something to be given to us, or an opportunity be dropped in our lap etc. It is like we are waiting for the runway lights to be turned on at the airport not realizing we can just turn them on ourselves. Like the chicken and the egg, the runway can stay dark forever while we debate who is supposed to turn them on.
We own our power. We have control of it. What are we waiting for? Why are we waiting at all? We are asked to consider that and remember who we really are…….a chip off the old block…….part of our God.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray…..soak up your power and confidence and run on it.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Relax, Refresh and Regroup.
-Laugh out loud.
What made me smile yesterday………
-An easy school day.
-A haircut.
-Finally touching base with Dianne.
-Happy daughters.
-Many chores done.
