Conversations

For your consideration……..

For as long as I can remember I have heard jokingly said, “Don’t discuss religion or politics.” Certainly, I have experienced the consequences first hand and maybe you have too.

Today’s message is about conversations. Through decades we have tip toed around those two subjects to keep the peace. That’s ok,right? It is except that it has evolved and expanded. It has put limits and in some cases eliminated discussions about God and values. That is the message today. We can not evolve without having those conversations. We must have these conversations.

So today we are encouraged to do just that. What is our belief system? What are our values? Have they changed? How? Where has our quest for the meaning of life and our life purpose brought us? Who can we talk to about it? Do we find ourselves censoring our conversation with some people? Answering these questions is important and so is what we do about it.

Today I was given a message for the blog that I was given personally a couple of years ago. I tell you this because I struggled with it. Part of the message went against some values I hold dear. Let me give you the message and then explain what I found so very hard.

“You are like a vortex. You are to move forward gathering as many along your path as you can. If they choose to come, terrific. If these don’t choose to follow you, you can not wait for them. You must continue to move forward.”

I readily admit that this is not the path I would ever have thought I would be on. I have always been curious and asked questions about life. However, never would I have thought that I would be called to be an activist for change into the new dimension…..a Lightworker. I also readily admit that I have been led kicking and dragging my feet. Still, I have ultimately done as I was asked. It is not always easy. The part of the message that particularly tears at my heart is “you can not wait for them”. Leaving people….anyone…..especially people I care about behind goes against every fiber of my being. I had to really think about this so I know you will too.

Here is the deal. People change and we don’t all change in the same way. We don’t always stay on the same path. We must accept that. Does that mean we no longer see or speak to family and friends that are no longer on ours? No, they were in our life for a purpose! But what it does mean is that, we have to surround ourselves with people who are on our path. We have to be open to meeting new unexpected people in our lives who we can have the important conversations with. We have to be able to discuss God and values so we can learn, evolve and grow.

If you are here, it is no coincidence. You are called to be a Lightworker. You are called to be a vortex for change. Take some deep breaths. Don’t panic. You are fully qualified and much-loved.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray…..listen to your calling.

-Drink lots of water to help keep you healthy and for clarity.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths…….connecting with Mother Earth.

-Ask you ego to step down, listen and journal what you hear, feel and see….what is requested of you. Don’t discount the small stuff. Little steps lead to big steps. You know the “pebble in the pond”……
