For your consideration……
Please don’t shoot the messenger. I can hear the exasperation. This is the final weekend to wrap up our Christmas shopping. Many are feeling stressed. Some have that list they are checking twice and then maybe adding to. Others are feeling trapped and panicked because they are not sure what those perfect gifts are. Still some feel done and ready to go.
No matter where you are stand, the message is for all of us. The gift is the by-product. It was never been meant to be the focus.
The gifts of Christmas represent the gifts given to the baby Jesus. They were given as mere tokens of gratitude for the love and HOPE God sent in the baby Jesus. He sent Jesus as our teacher, our brother, our comrade, our mentor and our friend.
Today’s message reminds us that our gifts too should be mere tokens. The gift is not as important……can not compare……with the love, appreciation, gratitude, respect, happiness, joy, peace, HOPE etc. that we infuse in it.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate/pray…..let your heart be at the center of all you do.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Be joyous…..radiate your gifts.
-Unsure of what to buy, do where to go etc.? Pause, be silent, ask for direction. Ask your Guidance for help. You will get the help you need. It is guaranteed. Your Guidance is available 24/7. Just listen and follow it.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-A lazy morning.
-Catching up with Jackie.
-I took my time going to Stillwater…..
-Stopping along the way to have a drink and catch up with my Uncle Tim.
-Making a breakfast plan with Karen. Can’t wait.
-Talking with both my brother and sister in one day.
-I now have confirmation that all gifts I sent have been delivered. Only Alex’s Christmas stocking is left. Come on Fed Ex, I have faith in you. You can do it……
