For your consideration…….

We forget that we have control. We own our own power. We always have a choice. We are asked today to remember that today as we consider what we hold on to and what we let go.

It is tempting to hold onto anger, bitterness, frustration, anxiety etc. Perhaps we feel justified or spiteful but sometimes we hold onto negative feelings because we are “fixers”. We need to fix before we can let go. Then again maybe we are “finishers”. We just can’t let go of anything unfinished. We will see it through until the end albeit bitter or not….good or bad.

The longer we hang on to something the bigger and more rooted it is in our life whether we realize it or not. So today’s message reminds us to pay attention to what we are holding on to. If it is not serving us well, we need to let it go whether it is fixed or finished or not. After all who said it was our job to fix or finish it in the first place? Maybe it is not ours to own and that is what is causing the angst.

We are asked today to guard our authentic self. Only hold onto and let in what is good and true. Let go of what is not good and true. Bless it and ask that it be healed and let it go for the highest “fixing, finishing and healing” good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..what are you holding onto that needs to be let go? Release it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be grateful for what is good and true and your ability to see it.

What made me smile yesterday……

-An easy work day.

-Dreaded errands completed.

-A school bus story.

-I loved remembering I had dinner in the crock pot.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
