For your consideration…….

Life…..our life…..has ebbs and flows. Sometimes it is turbulent. Sometimes it is calm maybe to the point of boredom. Those are the extremes to life that also includes all of the in between. No matter what, it is all good. It is all preparation for the next moment. The calm is the rest and strength building we need to whether the turbulent times. Sometimes life seems gentle. Sometimes it seems harsh. Still it is all good. We need it all to grow.

There is a fine line between “what ifs”. Certainly, “what if” can be a catalyst for dreams and pushing the envelope for invention and growth. Then again, “what if” can be about regret and living with regret.

The regret part is what today’s message is about. Living in the “if only” or with regret squanders away the potential of “what is”. Psychologically we know we can not change the past yet that ego just keeps pressing the issue because it holds judgement. When we ask the ego to step back, we know that focusing on the “what if” of regret is an effort in futility.

Today we are reminded that our only true course is to live in the moment of “what is”. It is in the present moment that we can achieve positive action for good and growth. It is in the present moment of “what is” that we can explore the realm of possibilities of all life can be. It is in the present moment of “what is” that we can be all that we are meant to be, exhibiting the growth from lessons learned in all that has past…..including regrets.

There is no better way to honor a regret than living fully in the moment of “what is”.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray….tune in to your authentic self and let it take the lead.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Absorb the love, vitality, and HOPE of Mother Nature. Let her recharge your batteries.

-Live fully in the moment of “what is”.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Sitting outside in the sun.

-Reading a good book.

-Checking in with my sister.

-A nap in the sun…..I haven’t done that in a long time.

-We are going to get to see Alex for the briefest of time but we will take anything we can get.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
