No Worries Today
No Hurry Lyrics
(Zac Brown Band)
You know my old car needs washing
And the front yard needs a trim
And the telephone keeps ringing
And the bossman knows I know it’s him
And the bills ain’t gonna pay themselves
Don’t matter anyway
‘Cause I ain’t in no hurry today
Nothing wrong with an old cane fishing pole
and the smell of early spring
Sit down in a fold up easy chair
On a quiet, shady river bank
Let the world go on without me
Wouldn’t have it any other way
‘Cause I ain’t in no hurry today
Ain’t in no hurry, I’d be a fool now to worry
About all those things I can’t change
And the time that I borrow can wait till tomorrow
‘Cause I ain’t in no hurry today
When I must return to the cold, cold ground
Have ’em take their time when they lay their sinner down
Heaven knows that I ain’t perfect, I’ve raised a little caine
And I plan to raise a whole lot more before I hear those angels sing
Gotta get right with the Lord
Or there’ll be hell to pay
But I ain’t in no hurry
Ain’t in no hurry, I’d be a fool now to worry
About all those things I can’t change
And the time that I borrow can wait till tomorrow
‘Cause I ain’t in no hurry, ain’t in no hurry, ain’t in no hurry today
For your consideration……
I love when a message comes in on the hum of a song. As is normally the case, I hear the music of the song and get a few of the lyrics and then have to figure out the rest (unlike my daughters and grandkids who know the singer and title right away). I was surprised that I had to dig longer than I thought today. And I was surprised when the song turned out to be “No Hurry” because the message was given as “no worries today.”
But it was no mistake because this song is about just that. Do not worry away the precious day you are in right now. Tomorrow will come on the heals of the moments today.
We have a choice. We always have a choice. Choose to live fully in this moment. Be open for anything and let this day be everything it can be.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray…..if you are worried….go to your calm center. Let your angels take away your fear and stoke you up for all they have in store for you.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Take a long look at your vision board. Is it still representative of your HOPEs and dreams. If not update it.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-A relaxing morning.
-A last minute invite to go school shopping with my daughter, Shannon and grandkids. It was fun….fun…fun. None of the stores they wanted to shop in were claustrophobic. Wahoo.
-A wonderful lunch before we went back at the shopping.
-Both AJ and Mac know exactly what they like. There is no dancing around in uncertainty.
-One of my students saw me and came up to talk to me. I love when that happens.
-Crockpot dinner waiting when I got home.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
