For your consideration……

Oh my goodness, we had very noisy birds deliver our message today as I tried to meditate. Finally, I gave in realizing they were the message but I could not see them. I did not know what kind of birds they were. I asked that they show themselves and immediately one flew to the piling.

Ahhh…the blackbirds. There were actually two of them but only one showed himself. Blackbirds are all about the energy of Mother Nature. Today we are being reminded of not only Mother Nature but our connection to it. Everything we need is provided for in Mother Nature. Most of us do not fully realize that.

That there were two crows today is symbolic. We are not separate from Mother Nature. We are one with it. Two is the number of balance. We are being reminded to merge our energy with Mother Nature and flow with her. This was further emphasized because blackbirds can be very territorial and drive away other birds. But that was not the case today. They were content to let all of the other birds join them in the apple tree reminding us to be as one.

Blackbirds are particularly powerful in the summer. Their loud call to us today is crying for us to get out into Mother Nature and let her seep into our very being. That the blackbirds were so noisy today is also not a coincidence. Their loud cry added urgency to the message.

Finally that the blackbirds showed up today in an apple tree is not a coincidence. In Nature-Speak by Ted Andrews we learn that the apple tree symbolizes time for joyful giving; hidden knowledge, happiness and healing at hand. It is all there for us waiting for….calling us back to Oneness with Mother Nature.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray……let your inhibitions and fears go.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Spend time outdoors in silence and with bare feet. Hear, see, touch, smell and feel Mother Nature.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Time relaxing on the deck.

-Reading a good book….two actually. I finished one and started another.

-BBQing outdoors.

-Ahhhh rain right in time for when people may seem inclined to light more fireworks tonight. My dog is absolutely terrified and we had a terrible time with him Friday night. So as much as I love fireworks, that there were not very many last night was ok with us.

P.S…. I have to say Happy Anniversary to my husband, Bruce.
