(In part from) “The Heart of the Matter” by the Eagles

I’ve been tryin’ to get down to the Heart of the Matter
But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it’s about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don’t love me anymore

These times are so uncertain
There’s a yearning undefined
…People filled with rage
We all need a little tenderness
How can love survive in such a graceless age
The trust and self-assurance that can lead to happiness
They’re the very things we kill, I guess
Pride and competition cannot fill these empty arms
And the work I put between us,
Doesn’t keep me warm

For your consideration…..

We were given this song today but with a very specific message…..“Forgiveness frees us to completely give and receive love. Without forgiveness the bitterness creates “static” in our energy field preventing a strong “bonding current” to love.”

Forgiveness is not all about “letting the other guy off the hook”. It is about letting go of the bitterness and letting it be healed by the Universe. It no longer has a purpose for the perpetrator or survivor. Forgiveness is about freeing ourselves so we can move into the future we deserve and desire.

Who is right and wrong is of no consequence. Anything that stands in the way of complete love must go. Perhaps it is easier said than done….perhaps it’s a hard lesson. Perhaps that’s the point. But none the less, it must be done if we are to achieve our full life purpose and complete joy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….let bitterness rise to the surface and release it.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Read….what do you want to know more about? Expand your knowledge base.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Sunshine.

-A happy Alex.

-Lots of errands done and just in the nick of time. I got the last footstool for Stillwater’s patio chairs.

-I started a new book. I was considering quitting it because the beginning was confusing and not very interesting. But I am glad I didn’t because it is a great mystery.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
