For your consideration…..
Today’s message is a little tough love. It is exactly this, “Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it. And right is right even if no one is.”
We are reminded that what is right sits in our soul. It is seeped into our bones. So all those excuses we can conjure up…… “Everyone is doing it.” “They did it first.” “They started it.” “It just the way it’s always been done.”…..does not make the wrong a right. It does not justify the wrong.
What does it matter if we just go along with the crowd? Why does it matter if say no one is hurt?
It matters because no matter how big or small the lie or action, the integrity of our soul is chipped away with each one. The more of our soul that is chipped away, the harder it becomes to recognize right from wrong.
Imagine a world where its citizens stood in their personal truth and accepted nothing less. What would that world look like? Perhaps we can not change the world today. But we can change our standards. We can decide to stand in the truth and refuse to accept less from those around us.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….
-Meditate/pray…….know yourself. Listen to your authentic self.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and enjoy Mother Nature. Take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Remember, there is nothing wrong with being in the minority. If it feels right, it is.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-A day with my sister-in-law, Ginger. We got the flowers at the cemetery planted, saw Aunt Dorothy and had lunch.
-Watching my Peanut’s softball game. She’s a slugger.
-Party at Bob’s.
-Wahoo, its set. Cathy is coming for our road trip.
