For your consideration……

Our message today reminds us that we are forever students. The curriculum we have chosen is our life purpose. The lessons our classes.

We are asked today to consider this question;

What kind of student do you want to be?

Are you a follower or are you a leader? Are you picking your road or following down someone else’s?

Are you trying your best to be at the top of the class? Or are you content and comfortable with the middle?

Are you doing your homework? Or are you content with incompletes?

Are you committed to graduating? Or are you OK with maybe having to do a do-over?

Are you seeking out the best teachers and material? Are you open to new ideas, activities, feelings and lessons? Or are you content with be-bopping along with whatever comes your way?

Are you an observer? Or are you a creator?

Are you participating fully? Or are you participating whenever you are called upon? Or do you choose not to participate?

Are you a volunteer anxious to earn extra points? Or are you happy following the curriculum as it is laid out?

You get the point. But remember….NO judgement……there are NO wrong answers. What kind of student you choose to be is perfect? More than likely we all run the gamut of all of the above during our lifetime. The point is we have a choice and we need to remember that.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..keep in touch with your authentic self. There is simply no better way to learn.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do some “wishful” thinking.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A nice school day.

-Laughing with my Sis.

-My niece, Kelly’s Facebook post. And my Alex’s.

-Me to Bruce, “No I don’t want to go out to dinner. I am ready for my PJ’s.” Bruce, “Oh, ok can we have spaghetti?” Later, “Honey, this is a great batch. I love this dinner.” Yup, a very little effort goes a long way with Bruce.

-Would you believe a 9:30 bedtime. Ahhhh.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
