For your consideration……

It is easy to see the big things in life; the big moments, the special events, the big joys, the big tragedies, the big love , the big hurts. Today we are reminded that most of life happens in the smaller moments. Every big moment was created by a series of littler ones…details….. that made it big.

The smallest detail can make us or someone else feel so special. How about those knowing eye contact moments? How about someone offering half of their candy bar when you know they want the whole thing? How about someone bringing you a cup of coffee when you are too busy to get it? How about that unexpected and unsolicited compliment? How about that out of the blue email, phone call or letter? How about that shoulder you need when you least expect to need it?

You see those little things show us that someone is paying attention. Someone is noticing us and how we are feeling without our asking. It is freely given from one heart to another.

There is a second part to this message. God wants us to know that he puts thousands of details into our every day. We don’t always notice them. But it is not for lack of his trying. Notice where your attention is drawn. It is not a coincidence. It is a detail….blessing….chosen for you because you matter and you are loved.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray….pay attention to what you feel and hear.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. It will be so great to do that here today. It is already perfect out.

-Drink lots of water.

-Notice the details……and be a detailer to others.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I taught for a teacher that I really like. I like her classroom style and I like the progress she has made with her students.

-Sun and warm temps. Wow….how long we  have waited for this.

-Alex finishing up her training. It seems like yesterday her and Amelia went to space camp and she came home and said she was going to fly.

-An early to bed night and a perfect nights sleep.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
