For your consideration…..

Today we have been given an analogy. Our thoughts are called to remember what it is like when we eat or drink something that is bitter. We are reminded that until that bitter taste is out of our mouths everything else we put in it is “tainted” by that bitterness. As long as the bitter taste is in our mouth, we do not get the authentic taste of anything else we put there.

And so it is with our soul….our authentic self. As long as it holds bitterness, every other action, feeling or thought we have is altered and affected. We can not get the pure and authenticity of them or the full benefit of them because them are clouded. Our bitterness may be perfectly justified but even so it colors, shifts and blinds us to our true reality.

We are asked today to acknowledge any bitterness we may hold and simply let it go. Picture it as a balloon and let it go to wherever it needs to go to be healed. It no longer serves us. We no longer need it. Let go and simply ask that it be healed for the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..let any bitterness or anger bubble up so you can release it. It is one of the great benefits of meditation.

-Take in at least 10 deep breaths out doors.

-Drink lots of water.

-Remember…..your breath is your reset button. Pause and take in a couple of deep breaths whenever you are stressed, anger, sad, anxious etc.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I subbed for one of my favorite teachers.

-Sun…..we had some sun.

-Finally sat down and paid bills. Yeah, it feels good to have that done for the month.

-Gift wrapping done.

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
