For your consideration…….

Today’s message reminded me of a childhood friend, Marlene. She always seemed so happy to me. I envied her life. It wasn’t until we were grown that I realized all was not as it seemed. I now know I should have envied her attitude towards life. Today’s message reminded me of her because she could always get me to do things I either would never have thought of or was afraid of doing. I was the glass half empty to her half full. I thought of her today because she talked me into chasing rainbows. She convinced me if very fast to it we would find the end of the rainbow. So we chased rainbows.

Who doesn’t like getting rainbows in messages or dreams? What do they mean? Rainbows represent perfect balance, completion, health and/or wholeness. Something is “over”. Rainbows show up after a rain and perhaps darkness, when the sun peeks out at the perfect moment.

We all have days, times, periods etc. when our life may seem dark, sad or frustrating. We are reminded that the light does come. And if we have the right attitude, we will see the perfect balance and wholeness…..our rainbow. We will recognize what has just passed for the experience and growth it provided. We will celebrate the new beginning. It is all good.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray finding your calm center at least once a day.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember that our breath is our reset button and can always bring us back to calm.

-“Rehash” the day. Were there any “rainbows”?

What made me smile yesterday……

-Great team teachers.

-Our back porch is clear of the snow.

-My new vacuum…..I love, love, love it.

-A great dinner if I do say so myself.

-My productive Alex.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
