For your consideration…….

Problems, problems and more problems. Does it seem like that sometimes? Does it seem like you just get some mess cleaned up only to have it replaced with another? Big ones, little ones, they come in all shapes and sizes. Are you ever left wondering what is wrong with this scenario? We all feel this way at some time or another.

We certainly have a lot of experience trudging through various scenarios with issues and people. Today’s message offers us an alternative. Rather than trudge through the way we know how to do, change it up.

We “frame” issues and problems so we can contain them and they don’t get out of control. We frame them according to how we think we can/should deal with them.

Today we reminded that just as  we have framed the issue, we can just as easily change the frame. We can choose to reframe the problem and get a different perspective on it. Changing the frame can change the scenario. We can stand back and take a fresh look and decide on our best course of action. Maybe it will be the same but chances are it will not be.

Nothing is permanent. Play will change. It will expand our vision and perspective.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate. We can bring an intention or concern into meditation and ask for guidance. Certainly that is one way to reframe our concerns.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Journal……write down an issue. Play with what ifs. Include changing up how we think and how we think the other people involved think.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I got to sleep in at Stillwater.

-I got lots of writing done….odds and ends…..a little of this and a little of that.

-I finally caught up with Cathy.

-I had to laugh at Alex’s “helicopter dunk test”. Of course, she is a rock star in the water. Still the way she described the whole thing gave me a chuckle.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
