For your consideration…….
Our world is miraculous. There is no doubt about that. But like anything else it needs constant maintenance to keep it well tuned.
Our message today is that we are all mechanics. We are all responsible for finding and fixing problems we see along the way. Even more than that we are responsible for creating new ideas for improvement.
That may seem like a heady responsibility. We may not feel qualified. But we are reminded that we are all born qualified. We all have what it takes.
It is the generosity of our spirit and love that is the oil that takes care of almost everything. Lending a hand or smile goes a long way. Inviting and including others who look lost or left out is a major fix because a well tuned machine needs all its parts.
Today’s message gives us big responsibility. But it is usually not hard work. We just fix and maintain as we go. Some days will be easier than others. Most days the work will be easy but there may be days or periods where some major overhauls are necessary. We are up to the task. Like my husband always says, “Many hands make hard work light.”
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate/Pray feel your power from within.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Drink lots of water.
-Put your neighbors paper on the porch for them or take bring their trash can up from the curb.
-Buy your co-workers coffee.
-Babysit someone who is suddenly in need.
-Be generous with your smile.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Errands done in record time.
-Another beautiful fall day.
-Catching up with Jackie.
-Lots of computer work done.
