For your consideration……

I love that we are given this simple message on a Sunday morning.

Whenever we “give” with the full intention of love from our heart, that is enough.

The size of the gift is irrelevant.

Many of us as children were taught that it is “the thought that counts.” And here we are today basically hearing the same thing in expanded form.

A good clue that we may not have our whole heart involved would be when we use “have to” in describing the action. I have to spend time with…. or I have to pick up a gift…..I have to call…..

Another example might be when we are speaking to someone. Are we looking at them? Are we giving them our full attention? It is far better to give someone our full attention for 5 or 10 minutes than it is to spend a 1/2 or full hour with them allowing constant interruptions.

The same goes with greetings. Why ask someone how they are when we do not want to wait or pay attention to the answer?

Giving a gift that you found because your heart told you it was for someone you knew. Then giving that gift not waiting until a birthday or Christmas carries a special message letting that person know they are important to you.

We are reminded today that the size of an action or gift does not matter. It is the intention of the heart that makes all of the difference.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..find the peace in your soul. Let your authentic self lead your way.

-Drink lots of water.

-Take in at least 10 deep breaths out doors. Remember whenever you feel stress, anxious etc, stop and take a couple deep breaths. Breath is our reset button.

-Continue to recharge your batteries by pampering yourself.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A relaxing morning in.

-Lunch with friend, Carol.

-Sweats, a good book and coffee for an evening in.

-Catch up with Jackie.

-Charlotte is doing better.

-Aunt Dorothy is as well. Hmmmm

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
