For your consideration…..

First I have to apologize for missing yesterday. I anticipated that I could post from the Seattle airport and that turned out not to be the case. Hmmmm…..lesson learned.

Today’s message is once again about our ego. I am getting a strong feeling that some of us are really struggling and it is because of ego.

Often we get our selves into unpleasant situations because our ego has been “bruised“. Think about it. When someone says or does something unpleasant to us there is no reason to give it merit, consideration or action if it is not true. Yet we do get into confrontations, have hurt feelings or walk away with anger. That is because we have been spurred or goaded by our ego.

That pesky ego tells us we are not good enough, up to the task or that we are somehow lacking. But that is not possible. We are exactly perfect and made for this moment in this life. If it is not true, just let it roll on off and past you. Or if, you feel so inclined bless it and release it for healing as you watch it roll away.

So today we are reminded to be on guard for the ego. When you hear or have feelings that would have you feel unworthy, disappointing, unskilled, unattractive, unsuccessful etc., reject them. Ask your ego to stand down to make room for your authentic self….the real you….the perfect you.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray and let your authentic self come forth.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Be joyous. You have found you.

What made me smile yesterday (and the day before)…..

-Breakfast out with my little girl, Alex. It was a new place for her and absolutely great.
-Seeing the “Oyster Run” in Anacortes, WA. Wow over 20,000 bikers.
-Alex trying to be “cool” when she got the call that she did not have to get up at 4:00 AM and head to work for a flight.
-Pat Hoping he would get the same call to no avail.

-Home with our very happy dog, Dude.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
