The Ties That Bind

For your consideration……

Communication this weekend have been challenging to say the least. That happens. Learning to accept it and graciously move through it is a harder challenge. I had almost decided that there just was not a message for today, when clear as a bell the following message came through rather insistently.

“Examine the ties that bind. It is time.”

We all have ties that bind…comittments, loyalties etc. People and circumstances are put in our path for a purpose. We tend to collect them. But like our house, we need to inventory those ties.

Those of purpose especially that bring love and joy to our life need to be tightened.

Those that we are unsure of….the jury is out so to speak….we need to loosen those ties a bit. Go with the flow. Hold no judgement and see where it goes. The truth will show itself.

Finally, there are people and things in our life where the purpose has been fulfilled and we need to cut those ties and move on. Those friends and acquaintances  have a path and purpose to fulfill and so do we. That they are different can be sad but that does not diminish what they brought to our life….what we still hold dear.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

Since this blog is so late we are probably limited as to what we have time left to do so…..

-Meditate on those ties.

-Before you go to sleep, ask to remember your dreams and journal them in the morning.

What made me smile yesterday……

–My Alex was home.

-Breakfast out with Jody and Alex.

-Bruce and I went to the Brothers of the Sun concert with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw along with 45000 of our closest friends.
