New Circle of Voices

For your consideration……

We are often reminded of our perfection…how we were born perfect for our life purpose. But then life and ego start to color over our truth or alter it. Today we are asked to focus in on our voice.

We were given a perfect voice. But what has happened to it? How has it been altered? How has it been squelched?

Remember these? “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” or “Unless you have something nice to say don’t say anything at all.” These are just a couple of examples of how we were reprogrammed.

Of course, words hurt. A better discussion with our children would be how not to let them alter who we are. Words can sting but unless we believe them and let them into our core authentic self they can not damage us. It is when we start to believe them and take them to our heart that we are altered.

Of course, sometimes we have to say things we know others don’t want to hear or words that may hurt them. But that does not mean it shouldn’t be said. Instead we need to say to our children, and ourselves, make very sure of the “intention” of your words before you speak. Make sure that your “intention”  is for good not hurt. Then deliver your words in love and truth.

It is like that when our angels deliver messages. We may not like what they are asking us to do but we always feel the good, love and light in the message. We always know that they are speaking for our highest good.

And that is how we should be speaking. We should not be squelching our voice or trying to drown out others. We need to use our voice to deliver the words others need to hear for their highest good and joy.

A couple of nights ago Tom Brokaw did a wonderful piece on Great Britain during WWII. It focused on Winston Churchill. Many questioned his appointment to Prime Minister. But quickly it became apparent that he was the perfect man. Yes he was qualified but more importantly it was his oratorical abilities that kept Great Britain alive. It was his ability to convince the people that they could stand up to Hitler. He asked for help from the United States to no avail. Public opinion was against going into another war. This piece credited Edward R. Morrow for changing that public opinion. Again with powerful words, sometimes alone, sometimes with pictures accurately describing the plight the brave starving British people. And again, in a face to face meeting Churchill appealed to FDR’s humanity through prayer and hymns. Words. At that point FDR promised food and supplies to help Great Britain survive. Of course, after Pearl Harbor was bombed the USA was in the war. Again, Churchill offered words…..a prayer for the United States.

We have a voice and it matters. It matters how we use it. It matters that we use it. And right now, at this time in history, it is the voice of women that matters most. It is at this moment that women all over the world stand up and use their voice.

Women do not have to stand up and “fight” for the right to be heard. We own that right. We simply need to stand up with the intention of speaking the truth for the highest good of humanity and Mother Earth.

It isn’t a contest of who can speak the loudest. It isn’t a shouting match. It is simply standing up and consistently speaking the truth. We don’t have to argue about it because the truth spoken with the purest intention…. just is.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate. Go to your center each and every day to get in touch with what you know is true.

-Drink lots of water. Water purifies us and helps us with clarity.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice Mother Earth. See what is true.

-Walk, stretch or exercise. Release your tension.

-A relaxing day at Stillwater watching the rest of the Olympics.
