Extraordinary Circumstances
For your consideration……
Remember as children when we were in trouble and we had those “yah, buts…” we wanted to insert to explain ourselves to HOPEfully soften the consequences of our actions? Remember how disappointed we were when our parents seemed to have laser vision straight to the heart of the situation? Remember how frustrated we were when they declared any further explanation unnecessary and irrelevant?
We are given that reminder today because in a way we are still children. We are still learning. We still make mistakes. There are still consequences. And those extenuating circumstances are still irrelevant. Life just doesn’t always seem fair.
No, we don’t know all of the circumstances. But think about how overwhelming it would be if we did. Do we really think we could handle all that intelligence? Our plate is full enough as it is. We are given what we need…knowledge and tools….when we need it.
There is always more to the story in everyone’s life journey. And just as we have those extenuating circumstances so does everyone else. We are asked to remember that.
Does that mean we should be a doormat and let people walk all over us? No! But it does mean that we should address the “action” and let it go. We do not know their life journey or the lessons they are here to learn. We have to trust that our Father has the laser vision to get right to the heart of the matter. He has it all under control. And we have to trust that we are part of that life lesson with lessons of our own to learn from it. What is our take-away?
Nothing is as simple as it seems but often that is because we are making it more complicated than it is. We are being asked to deal with this moment with the info and tools we have and let God handle the tangled web of “extenuating facts and circumstances.”
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray. Your Authentic Self has as much information as you need.
-Drink lots of water. Clear the cobwebs.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Breathe in beginnings. Breathe out endings.
-Journal what is working in your life…what you are grateful for.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Lunch with Jackie.
-Meeting and having a great conversation with Dina. You just never know who will be added to your life. Meeting Dina today reminded me why I bought Stillwater and why I am doing the hard work I am prompted to do.
-Bethy gave me a great rock she painted for Stillwater. Really, you thought about me and did all that work for me? Thank you, thank you. Be blessed, sweet girl.
-Alex is back in the plane. Cool ride, Babycakes.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
P.S. I am so sorry, Joe and Kathy. My prayers and Blessings go out to you and your family.
P.S. Little Joe, I feel your joy, gives hugs to Frank, Loretta and Jonathon and comfort to your devastated family still here doing their work.
