In the Eye of the Beholder

Gisela Graeser

For your consideration……

Do you feel like you struggle some days finding and keeping your joy? Does it sometimes feel like it is getting harder and harder to find “good” news? Do you feel like “no news is good news”? I know I do.

But try as hard as we might we can not isolate ourselves away from it. There is no escaping it. And perhaps we are not meant to. Burying our head in the sand is certainly not the solution.

So today we have been given a little reminder…a tip on how best to live amongst all the “news”. The tip is this. We always need to remember that anything we see and hear is from the perception of the deliverer. It is from the standpoint….the eye of the beholder.

What we hear is colored by the past and present life circumstances and experiences of the deliverer. When we look at it from that perspective, we realize that it is useless to argue. It is pointless because we have never walked in their shoes or them in ours. Expecting others to see the world news as we do is unrealistic.

And maybe…just maybe….that is what the turmoil is all about. Because the reality is that anything that does not come from the authentic self is just unrealistic fluff. And it is time…..past time… to get real.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate….get in touch with your authentic self. Put it in charge and work your life from a higher level.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Water and breath help synchronize you with Mother Earth. They help create peace and harmony in your life.

-Turn off the TV and listen to music.

-Wind down. Go out and have some fun. Or if  you prefer, get in your pj’s early with a good book.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A fun morning out with Lori and Rod.

-Writing a poem with my sister for “the girls.”

-Great check-ins from both my girls.

-I have a potential place for my workshop. Fingers crossed it is the “right” place.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
