For your consideration…….

Do you know the song “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places”? Well that is the tune I am given but the lyrics are, “Stop Searching For Joy In All The Wrong Places”. In fact, stop the search all together.

Joy is everywhere. It constantly surrounds us. It is there for the taking. We don’t have to search for it. We just need to open our eyes, ears, mind and heart and notice it.

You know the saying you get what you expect? Well expect to see and hear the joy in life and you will. Expect that you will be greeted each morning in songs from the birds. Expect that you will notice the beautiful sunrise or sunset. Expect that someone will be glad to see you today. Expect that you will bring joy to their life and feel that joy reflected in your own. Expect the breeze to kiss your cheek and calm your soul. Expect to feel Mother Earth’s energy beneath your bare feet. Expect to hear laughter. Expect it….allow it…..to enter your soul. Expect to feel the love as you notice a child putting their hand gently in their parent’s. Expect to feel love as your remember your own child’s hand in yours. Expect to see knowing looks between people sharing a joke, love or wonder. Share in it. Etc Etc. Etc.

You get the picture. Joy surrounds us. Too often we let fear, doubt, sadness, disappointment etc. to overshadow it and crowd it out. But it is easy to fix. We just have to choose to open our eyes, ears, mind and heart. We have a choice. We always have a choice. Choose joy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate, pray….Go to that calm place within….your natural state…..your authentic self.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Not feeling the joy? Get out among people. Notice who is joyful and tap into their joy. Tap into your memories of when you were joyful. Affirm that joy unto yourself.

What made me smile yesterday……

-House cleaned. Check.

-Masters lessons started. Check.

-Shannon is no longer missing in action. Yeah.

-Alex mastering the operation of a hot tub. First lawn mowing and not the hot tub, wow.

-My Sis, Lori, and Rod are here. I got to share Stillwater with them.

-Hot days but cool nights.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
