For your consideration……

Don’t you just love it? We are being reminded to just be ourselves. We are reminded not to try to change ourselves into who or what we “perceive” someone else wants. Bringing our authentic self to any situation is like adding a surprise ingredient that brings new life to it. I like to cook so it is not surprising I was given these analogies of surprise ingredients;

-We are like mint to lemonade.

-We are like that last dash of salt that wakes up the rest of the flavors.

-We are like the coffee granules that makes chocolate come alive.

-We are like that dash of balsamic vinegar that make the sweetness of strawberries perk up.

-We are like jalapeno or red pepper that makes a recipe pop.

Think about it. We were created unique and built perfect for our life journey. There are no coincidences. Our unique  authentic self is not only good enough, it adds something that can not be gotten anywhere else. It can not be bought. It is a gift. It is a surprise and delight. So no morphing. Just be you.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. It helps us get in touch and stay in touch with who we really are.

-Drink lots of water. Water mirrors the natural flow of life.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Slow that heartbeat down. Meld into the nature that surrounds you.

-Reflect at the end of the day of when you were most proud of yourself today. Or just do some automatic writing.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Alex, Alex, why so harsh? Anyone else would be happy and proud that they hopped on their bike and went for a ride. Only you would ride for 30 miles on a first trip out and then reflex on how slow you were. Seriously? What a hoot you are.

-Nails and toes….done. Just plain self-indulgence.

-Air conditioning.

-The sprinklers and my grateful grass.

-Usually Dude, our dog, is a pest about wanting to go outside. Ahhhh, not so much in this heat. He asks to go out in the morning and then not again until the sun goes down. Smart boy.

-My Sis is coming, my Sis is coming. I can’t wait to see here.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
