For your consideration…….

I am not sure why but am told that a lot of people are “battling” waves of emotions. The message is to stop….pause and notice. Emotions are gifts. They are indicators of where we stand at any given moment. While it is not necessary that we completely understand the “why” behind them, it is necessary that we “notice” the feeling(s) they invoke.

Feelings…..good, bad or indifferent…..is the fuel we are putting into our energy. It is the energy we are putting into whatever task that is at hand and the success of it. It is the energy we are putting out into the Universe. The same energy that will be returned to us.

The feelings that our emotions invoke are “indicators” of communion or lack of it with our life purpose. Dreading, boredom, sadness, humdrum, anger, bitterness, laziness, procrastination etc. are pretty good indicators that we are out of sync with our life path. On the other hand,  joy, love, gratitude, happiness, excitement etc. would indicate that we are working our life path.

Emotions are there to be noticed and felt. Smothering them does not serve us well. You have to feel the good, bad and the ugly to correctly take your next step. Does that make sense?

Celebrate your sea of emotions. It is a gift unique to you. That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray. Notice the feelings you have swirling around you. Ask about them. Find your calm.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in some fresh air. Take at least 10 deep breaths.

-Get some exercise. Go for a walk, run, bike ride, kayak etc.

-Journal your “emotions” of where you are right now.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Wahoo. I made it through the school day. The students are getting restless.

-A beautiful warm sunny day.

– A spur of the moment decision to return to Stillwater.

-A great afternoon and evening with John and Jackie. Don’t you just love the little unexpected, unplanned moments? It helps to keep me sane during these days I am so worried about my Alex.

-I only woke up once during the night which is way better than it has been this week.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
