For your consideration….

Well I got to sleep in until until after dawn today….no pre-dawn songs in my head this morning. Today I was reminded of a dolphin I kept seeing yesterday and the words, “let go of the outcome”.

We see dolphins everyday here. They are usually in pairs or groups of 3-4. Usually they come in the afternoon to look for food. One day last week  a bigger group of them came back following a practicing kayak team.

Yesterday was different. I saw a lone dolphin very close….between the end of the dock and shore. I saw him first when I took my coffee out. I saw him again while I was talking to my sister, Lori. Then again a couple of hours later he showed up when my daughter, Alex and her friend, Amy came for dinner. Amy was delighted. She has not seen a dolphin since she has lived in Florida….a whole year.

So as I was reminded this morning, this dolphin was a gift for us. What does it mean? Because it was a single dolphin, we know the message is about new beginnings, oneness with God and unity in life. Secondly, the dolphin has rhythm to their breathing and swimming. Breath is life. Learning to focus on breath and controlling it adds great benefit and  better control to our lives.

The lone dolphin yesterday also reminds us to get out and play more. Be curious. Tap into your creativity and use it “without focus on the outcome”. That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone could take……

-Meditation…..in meditation our focus is on breath. It is another reason why it is so important.

-Drink lots of water. It helps with clarity. It helps us swim in the emotional waters of life.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Feel those breaths. Notice them. Notice how your body reacts to them.

-In “Animal-Speak” by Ted Andrews, says to ask these questions when a dolphin shows up. “What are your words and thoughts creating for you? Are you getting outside and enjoying fresh air? Are you holding tension? Are others? It is time to breathe new life into yourself.”

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Of course, the sun and our dolphin showing up.

-Great Easter messages from those I love.

-Talking to my sister and seeing the great picture she sent.

-Alex and Amy so relaxed.

-A great dinner. (if I do say so myself)

-I read a good James Patterson book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
