Procrastination of Self-Actualization
For your consideration……
What is the point of it all? What is the bottom line? We each have a life purpose. Each of us is designed perfectly for it. The journey is to figure out what it is and work it to the best of our ability. To do that we must get up close and personal with ourselves.
Yet, many of us procrastinate. The reasons vary. Time is always a biggy and fear as well. Sometimes it is just a matter of not knowing how or where to begin.
The message today is we can do better. We can step up our game. We can dig deeper. We can open ourselves up and hear and see more. Why procrastinate? Why not bite the bullet and make our life a lot easier?
There is nothing more important than making the time to get to know ourselves, our value and how best we can serve the world. We have Guidance 24/7 waiting for us to ask for help. We have nothing to fear. We just need to step forward and trust we will recognize the next step as it is given.
God is like our GPS without the annoying voice saying “Turn around as soon as possible. Turn around as soon as possible.” We find out soon enough if we are headed in the wrong direction. And if we don’t heed the voice and “turn around”, a new route is quickly plotted for us. But make no mistake, it is still our life journey and the lesson is still there waiting for us to learn. We may have a new route but the destination is still the same. And we will get there if not this lifetime, then the next or the next.
Today we are being asked to no longer procrastinate. We are being asked to commit to spending alone time each day to open up our channel to more easily hear our Guidance. It will be time well spent and in the long run will be a time saver. Let go of the fear. And trust that we will recognize our next step in its Divine Timing.
We are being asked to dedicate a part of each day to being alone with ourselves committed to the journey of discovering our authentic self and following the path laid out before it. That is the HOPE.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray. Dedicate a part of each day to being alone and going within.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-When you are “having a moment”, remember to take some deep breaths. Even is you can’t walk away to do it, pausing and taking in 3 or so will help you.
-Put a dream in your dream box next to your bed.
-Write down something you know for sure about you.
-If you are having difficulty with something, write down an affirmation to counter it and carry it with you throughout the day. Refer to it each time the negative problem jumps into your head.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-Sun and warm weather.
-A great email from Jul.
-Beach time with Alex.
-A great class last night.
-Isn’t technology wonderful? Last year I had to go out each morning to get on the internet. Now, as long as I have my phone, I can stay in my PJ’s take care of business. How cool is that?
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
