Turkeys

For your consideration……

I stayed in meditation a long time confirming that today’s message is indeed a turkey. Here we are in Spring and I am in Florida listening to all of the very loud noisy birds and a turkey shows up. It seemed odd but, of course, the turkey is the perfect symbol for today’s message.

Today’s message is actually a promise. In “Animal-Speak” Ted Andrews writes of the turkey “It has a long history of association with spirituality and the honoring of the Earth Mother. It is a symbol of all the blessings that the Earth contains, along with the ability to use them to their greatest advantage.”

Ironically it is the  male turkey that has an inflatable growth on his forehead symbolic of the “third eye” and feminine energies.

Turkeys were almost extinct at one time and have made a huge comeback and are once again thriving.

So what does this all mean? Why are we given the turkey as a promise?

Like the turkey, Mother Earth has suffered but she is a survivor. She is making a comeback as is the human race. There is a re-balancing happening between masculine and feminine energies. We are waking up. We are learning to trust our intuition and doing what we intuitively know is right.

We are completing one cycle  and are moving into a new more enlightened one. That is the HOPE. That is the promise.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate…..in meditation we find our balance.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Eliminate something you no longer need or what no longer serves you. Add something new, do something new and fun.

-Write a poem.

What made me smile yesterday……..

-Text pages from my Peanut. I love you, Peanut.

-Sun, sun, sun and gentle breezes.

-An afternoon and dinner with our Alex.

-Besides a little grocery shopping, we did absolutely nothing but chill.
